I built this entire dual-compartment bin using just two standard 1x12x8 common pine boards. It is a straightforward weekend build that requires only a handful of basic tools. I added a couple of custom upgrades to mine, including router-engraved lettering on the lids and a wire screen back for maximum ventilation. The lettering would also look great hand-painted. The hardware is simple cabinet hinges, magnetic door catch and a cabinet knob. There are so many ways to make this project unique, I may just build more.
