“Hi, I’m Michael. For over 30 years, my woodshop has been my sanctuary. There is nothing quite like taking a raw piece of wood and transforming it into something unique. Sometimes I work without a blueprint, letting the wood guide me. Other times, I’m solving a specific problem. But my absolute favorite projects start when my wonderful wife shows me a photo and asks, ‘Can you make this?’
Through this journey, you’ll get an inside glimpse of my process and my space. You won’t find a prize-winning shop full of glamorous, high-end equipment here. My shop is a modest, 24×24 space—the size of a standard two-car garage. It is simple, homemade, and highly efficient. Most of my tools were bought second-hand, and I stick to budget-friendly, big-box brands that rarely let me down. I even build my own workbenches to perfectly suit my space.
I’m here to share the wins and the mistakes to prove you don’t need a master craftsman’s setup to enjoy this hobby. Most of my projects are novice-friendly, weekend builds using basic tools like a circular saw, jigsaw, and tape measure. My hope is to share the joy of woodworking and inspire you to create something uniquely yours.”
